They selected their swearing as a shield, thus they are obstructing from the path of Allah; then they have heinous punishment.
The Hypocrites who don’t fulfil the covenant made with Allah are considering their swearing by Allah as a shield. They are the transgressors who have forgotten Allah as explained in verses 10: 33; and 59: 19. They don’t keep the contracts and promises made with Lord’s creatures. Since the believers are living here seeing the Lord and Hereafter, they will keep the contracts and promises made with Lord’s creatures. If the believers are utilising Adhikr-the Permission of Allah-as the safeguard, the Hypocrites are swearing for falsehood in order to obstruct the mankind from Adhikr. if it is told in verses 9: 28 and 95 that the Hypocrites and their blind followers are filth, as told in verse 9: 125, Adhikr won’t increase to them except filth over filth.
